Poster for Clayming Love

Clayming Love Monday November 23, 2026 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm For ages 18+ Are you ready? Are you open? Are you willing? “The awareness in our hands is alive and continuous. The feeling of our lives will be awake in our fingers. We befriend the clay. The clay befriends us.” — M.C. Richards The sense of touch cannot happen anywhere but the here and now. Touch is immediate. Through exploration with clay we will recognize how we can be stuck because we have not looked deeply enough into the nature of our experience. Guided by a Zen Buddhist practitioner and registered art therapist, engage in clay exercises designed to call attention to habits of belief, judgments, and the stories we tell ourselves. With self-compassion, we will create possibilities to loosen their hold on us by working with the malleability of clay. At the end of the workshop we return the clay to its original form, letting go of what was created and ready to begin anew. This workshop welcomes everyone, whether you are new to or familiar with clay, breath, and presence.
